Paithani is one of the exotic weaving traditions which dates to 200 BC. This saree is woven with a thread count of 20/22 D Mulberry Silk in warp way and 3 ply Silk Yarn in weft way on handloom used for extra warp design, in border and pallow tested zari yarn used with peacock motif Design by handwork ,interlacement technique and in Border Tested zari yarn used with hand woven motif design. A Paithani saree is woven by Smt. Durga Dipak Mahulkar at Nagada Village, Nashik.
